March in Victoria

Our local steam museum held a weekend long festival in early March. The museum houses a really extensive collection of tractors and engines. Well worth a visit to see them all working.

To celebrate Chris' birthday, and to try out the new car, we had a weekend break at Wilson's Promontory in the very South of Victoria. A beautiful unspoiled national park, full of forests and sand dunes. Here you see us ready to walk the track up to Mount Oberon (556 m).
The views from the top were fantastic. Most of the park is unreachable by road. The only option is to hike. Overnight hiking is essential to reach the remotest parts. We will certainly visit again in the fitire.
